AWS Platform/API Engineer

📋 Description

• AWS Platform/API Engineer role in AbbVie North Chicago, IL; Hybrid 3 in-office days, up to 2 days
• Design APIs for reusable services, develop APIs and services for cross-platform workflows.
• Connect cloud and on-prem apps to build cohesive IT infra.
• Automate using native AWS technologies and DevOps practices.
• Implement security measures across integration solutions to protect data.
• Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and other staff.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in computer science/engineering or related field; 5 years platform/API engineer experience.
• 5 years coding on AWS with Python, Java, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• 1 year with AWS CloudFormation or Terraform (IaC); 1 year with Docker, Kubernetes; CI/CD using AWS
• Shell scripting ( Bash or Python ) for automation and system management.
