📋 Description
- Lead and contribute to structural engineering and analysis projects for new nuclear facilities
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, design docs, and project deliverables
- Perform structural analyses for safety-related structures under seismic, impact, impulsive, and
- Apply knowledge of structural materials, steel and reinforced concrete design for reliable
- Use SAP2000, STRUDL, SASSI, ANSYS, LS-DYNA to evaluate structural performance.
- Support designers, provide technical guidance, and liaise with clients on project activities.
🎯 Requirements
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- At least 5 years in structural design/analysis within project teams.
- Proficiency with SAP2000, STRUDL, SASSI, ANSYS, or LS-DYNA.
- Strong knowledge of ASCE 4, ASCE 43, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
- Experience with blast loading using SBEDS and UFC 3-340-02; explicit dynamic LS-DYNA experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across disciplines.
