• Join Canva's Editing Performance team to rebuild editor parts for speed and reliability.
• Work in TypeScript with React Native and native surfaces to impact Canva's editor architecture.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and product managers to ship performant experiences globally.
• Drive performance improvements using data and instrumentation.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong commercial software engineering experience on large-scale apps, SDKs or APIs.
• Deep TypeScript experience with large codebases and complex types.
• Experience contributing to architecture decisions and solving hard problems.
• Comfort with performance data, instrumentation and dashboards to prioritise work.
• Solid fundamentals: async programming, data structures, design patterns, architecture.
• Curious about low-level performance; familiarity with browser rendering, WebWorkers, WebGL/WebGPU
