Director of Hardware Engineering

📋 Description

• Own and lead the Hardware team (optics, video processing, signal processing, battery management
• Set technical direction and contribute to product vision for Veo's Capture Portfolio
• Lead end-to-end projects with planning and follow-up to meet business commitments
• Own program management for hardware initiatives with scoping, timelines, critical path, and status
• Run the team's agile rituals adapted for hardware needs
• Own DFM/DFA and manufacturing readiness; collaborate with internal assembly, contract

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience leading hardware engineering teams for consumer electronics, including
• Broad fluency across optics, video processing, signal processing, battery management, mechanics
• Strong program management: planning, budgeting, risk management, cross-functional coordination
• Experience taking products from prototype to mass production with contract manufacturers or
• Leadership style that builds trust, ownership, and high standards; comfort with ambiguity
• Strong systems thinking across hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and customer experience
