Senior/Staff Platform Observability Engineer

📋 Description

• Own and continuously improve a unified observability stack (metrics, logs, traces).
• Tune alerts against SLOs/SLIs, reduce noise, surface real issues early.
• Define instrumentation standards with OpenTelemetry.
• Enable product teams to diagnose incidents with dashboards and runbooks.
• Run observability platform like a product with roadmap and cost focus.
• Provide technical direction for observability across the org.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in Platform/Observability or infra roles.
• OpenTelemetry, metrics/logs/traces design, distributed tracing.
• Experience with SLO/SLI dashboards and alerting.
• Backend language: Python or Go.
• Experience treating platform as a product; strong communication in English.
