📋 Description
- Administer IBM DS8000/DS8950F storage and related z/OS storage infrastructure.
- Manage GDPS Metro/Global Mirror and HyperSwap replication for high availability.
- Administer TS7700/TS7780 virtual tape systems and clustering.
- Design and maintain mainframe backup and recovery strategies, including DR drills.
- Lead capacity planning, performance monitoring, and regular operational reporting.
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate cross-team knowledge sharing.
🎯 Requirements
- 9+ years of combined higher education and/or relevant experience.
- 7+ years in large-scale enterprise mainframe storage administration.
- Expertise with IBM DS8000/DS8950F, GDPS, TS7700/TS7780.
- Deep knowledge of CA storage products (Disk, Allocate, View/Deliver, Vantage).
- Familiarity with DFSMS, z/OS storage architecture (DFP, SMS, VSAM RLS).
- Ability to document complex environments and mentor others.
