Senior Backend Engineer, Safety

📋 Description

• Senior backend engineer in Safety Engineering focused on building scalable tooling for moderators.
• Collaborate with frontend/mobile engineers, product and design partners.
• Drive technical design, implementation, testing, experimentation, and launches.
• Lead and mentor engineers, define standards and improve developer workflows.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and strategic direction for safety tooling.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-8 years of software development in Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift or gRPC and API design.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset; thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote setting.
