Staff Backend AI Engineer, Remote

📋 Description

• Lead delivery of high-throughput, large-scale transactional systems.
• Mentor engineers and set code quality and architecture standards.
• Architect services for scalable transactional platforms with high availability.
• Design agentic AI workflows and multi-agent coordination on AWS.
• Write production Python and Go services with performance baselines.
• Govern AWS infrastructure and ensure AWS Well-Architected compliance.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in CS/Software Eng or related field.
• 8+ years software engineering; 3+ years staff-level/leadership.
• 4+ years building/operating production AWS services (ECS/Fargate, EKS, Lambda).
• 2+ years Python async (asyncio, FastAPI) and 2+ years Go in production.
• Experience with large-scale OLTP, event-driven, distributed caches.
• Hands-on agentic AI systems (agent orchestration, tool calls, RAG).
