Supplier Quality Engineer

📋 Description

• Ensure world-class performance of Zoox prototype and production supply base.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Systems Engineering and Strategic Sourcing on supplier selection and
• Lead supplier process reviews, PPAP/APQP, and supplier ramp risk mitigation.
• Drive supplier qualification, RCCA, and disposition of suspect material with MRB involvement.
• Analyze supplier part quality metrics (Cp/Cpk, First Article, SPC, DOE) and drive continuous
• Travel up to 20% domestically to support supplier sites.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years in Quality/Supplier Quality or Manufacturing (auto/aviation/medical device).
• Experience with Process Flow Diagrams, FMEAs, SPC, MSA, CP/Cpk, GD&T, CMM data.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 and IATF 16949; supplier assessments, APQP/PPAP, NPI.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google Workspace; strong problem-solving (Six Sigma, 8D, Pareto, DOE).
• Certifications like CQE or Six Sigma/Gov preferred.
