📋 Description
- Join Elasticsearch Performance team to improve optimization and predictability of Elasticsearch
- Contribute to core performance initiatives from development to production.
- Develop AI-assisted optimization harnesses to streamline profiling and benchmarking.
- Collaborate across teams to apply performance-focused practices to new features.
- Profile and analyze system behavior to identify bottlenecks in logging, metrics, and vector search.
- Support scalable, serverless and distributed architectures with robust benchmarks.
🎯 Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Java, JVM memory management, concurrency models; write high-performance
- Proven profiling/optimizing distributed systems; experience with benchmarking tools (JMH, Rally).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems: partition tolerance, cluster state, scaling large data
- Experience using AI/advanced tooling to accelerate optimization and automate benchmarking.
- Ability to collaborate in a distributed team and communicate asynchronously.
