- Own performance engineering initiatives from architecture to production.
- Lead design, plan, and execution of major performance improvements.
- Develop foundational performance models for distributed systems.
- Drive optimization to keep Elasticsearch performant and scalable.
- Profile and analyze system behavior to identify bottlenecks.
- Ensure robust benchmarks and regression detection for serverless architectures.
🎯 Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Java internals and JVM memory management.
- Proven profiling/optimization in distributed systems (flamegraphs, JMH, Rally).
- Solid understanding of distributed architectures, partition tolerance, scaling.
- Experience using AI/advanced tooling to accelerate optimization.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and drive decisions asynchronously.
- Autonomous work style with clear, transparent communication.
