Staff Infrastructure Engineer - Data Streaming

📋 Description

• Lead architecture, deployment, and operation of distributed data services (self-hosted Kafka
• Build automated, self-service infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and air-gapped on-premises
• Manage data infrastructure for >5 PB daily ingestion with high throughput, low latency
• Consolidate multi-tenant Kafka environments for resilience and cost optimization.
• Drive IaC and GitOps (Terraform, ArgoCD) to reduce toil and pager fatigue.
• Establish platform standards for observability, HA, backup, DR, and lifecycle of stateful workloads.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in infrastructure/platform/systems engineering with stateful distributed systems
• Hands-on with self-hosted Kafka and Redis in Kubernetes; tuning, scaling, persistence, and
• Strong Kubernetes internals and prod best practices for stateless/stateful workloads.
• Experience delivering DBaaS, MaaS, or PaaS for internal teams or customers.
• Multi-cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• IaC and GitOps expertise (Terraform, ArgoCD, Pulumi).

🎁 Benefits

• Base salary: $156,000–$215,000 USD annually, varies by location.
