📋 Description

• Lead architectural and code-level performance initiatives for Elasticsearch.
• Drive high-impact optimizations across distributed systems and serverless architectures.
• Develop performance models and methodologies for complex systems.
• Profile, benchmark, and analyze bottlenecks in logging, metrics, and vector search.
• Collaborate across teams to embed performance-first thinking in new features.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Java internals and JVM memory management; concurrent, thread-safe, lock-free
• Proven profiling/optimization of distributed systems; experience with benchmarking tools (JMH
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and scaling challenges in large-scale data
• Experience using AI or advanced tooling to accelerate optimization and automate benchmarking.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and work autonomously across projects.
