- Set and execute communications strategy aligned with priorities and policy objectives.
- Oversee brand, editorial planning, and digital channels for reach and impact.
- Lead media relations and proactive earned media opportunities.
- Direct creation of press materials, op-eds, reports, and campaigns.
- Manage website, social, email, podcasts, and other digital platforms.
- Translate research and policy into persuasive narratives for policymakers.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred or equivalent experience.
- At least five years in communications/public affairs/advocacy with leadership experience.
- Experience executing strategies to advance state/federal policy priorities.
- Strong knowledge of US higher education landscape and equity issues.
- Ability to transform complex data into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
- Proven coalition building and stakeholder relationship skills; media relations expertise.
