Thermal Systems Design, Hybrid Powertrain

📋 Description

• Own, design, model and deliver a novel thermal system for our Hybrid aircrafts thermal design
• Select the right technology, materials and for a very complex and novel thermal system
• Design it so it’s light, performatively and cost effective
• Prove that the system is as good as you think it is - through test definition
• Work with stakeholders to deliver the complete system
• Manage design lifecycle, including interfacing with manufacturing and test teams

🎯 Requirements

• BS / MS / PhD in a related scientific or engineering field
• 5+ years experience in mechanical design
• Strong fundamentals and demonstrated understanding complex system design
• Experience with stress and finite element analysis
• Experience with Siemens NX and suite of tools
• A systematic approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate complex, technical

🎁 Benefits

• Nice to have: Prior experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, turbegenerators, eVTOLs, or hybrid
• Nice to have: Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification
• Nice to have: Knowledge of simulation model validation, model calibration, and uncertainty
