Avionics Technician

📋 Description

• Assemble, wire, inspect, and test avionics hardware per drawings and instructions.
• Build PCBAs, harnesses, and related flight/ground equipment from schematics.
• Perform precision wiring, soldering, crimping, and connector assembly to IPC standards.
• Inspect and rework PCBAs, assemble cables, and verify workmanship per IPC/whitespace standards.
• Execute electrical checkout and integration across avionics, power, comms, and payload systems.
• Document work, communicate discrepancies, and collaborate with engineers and inspection teams.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or military electronics training preferred.
• 3+ years hands-on experience assembling, integrating, testing, or repairing avionics hardware.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and connector pinouts.
• Experience with IPC 610/ IPC 620 workmanship standards and related rework.
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work weekends/overtime as
• Current or prior certification to IPC J-STD-001, NASA-STD-8739 series, or similar high-reliability
