About the Role
The Strategic Finnce Associate works directly with the company's strategic finance lead to turn data into the decisions that shape how Homeaglow grows. This person supports the core financial model and unit economics, runs the data-heavy analysis behind leadership's hardest questions, and helps build the reporting behind our long-term corporate development work. The role partners closely with teams across Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Care, with regular exposure to senior leadership.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain the core financial model and unit economics, refreshing cohort and LTV views as new data ages in.
- Work directly in the data using SQL and AI tooling.
- Run ad-hoc, data-heavy analysis to size opportunities and pressure test experiments so leadership knows what is worth pursuing.
- Investigate why performance moves, working each question methodically from the funnel down to root cause.
- Build dashboards and self-service analytics that let the wider company answer its own questions.
- Partner across Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Care to convert open questions into quantified recommendations.
- Support long-term corporate development initiatives including M&A, capital raises, and investor relations.
What We're Looking For
We care more about what you can do than where you've done it. Here's what typically sets great candidates apart:
- 1-3 years in investment banking, management consulting, growth/private equity, or a high-impact role at a startup or technology company.
- Fluency in cohort and waterfall analysis in a consumer, monthly retention context.
- Proficiency in SQL, or the ability to pick it up quickly, and genuine enthusiasm for AI tools such as Claude. Treats the spreadsheet as one tool among many.
- Structured, logical problem solving under pressure. Can frame an ambiguous problem and work it down in steps rather than guessing at causes.
- Clear written and verbal communication suited to a fully remote environment.
- Nice to have: a consumer internet background in a marketplace, subscription, on-demand, or gig economy business.
Perks and Benefits
- Health insurance fully covered by the company.
- Parental leave.
- Flexible / unlimited PTO policy.
- Cleaning membership perk – Free Homeaglow membership with complimentary cleanings. Enjoy up to 2x cleanings a month, capped at $200 USD per cleaning.
