Engineering Manager (Data Safety)

📋 Description

• Lead the Data Safety engineering team and protect patient data as Headway scales.
• Own privacy/compliance commitments, including audit evidence.
• Define roadmap for de-identification, data access, and LLM data handling.
• Mentor engineers and build a tech-lead layer beneath you.
• Collaborate with Security, Privacy, Compliance, Data, and product teams.
• Balance fast delivery with safety and regulatory requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years engineering management in high-growth environments.
• 4+ years as a software engineer with credible technical direction.
• Proven track record leading teams delivering business outcomes.
• Strong product mindset and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience shipping under real compliance/audit pressure.
• Comfort with data platforms, privacy systems, access control, de-identification.
