InDesign Automation Developer

📋 Description

• Join The N2 Company’s engineering team to modernize print publications.
• Automate InDesign workflows to reduce manual design work and reliance on external vendors.
• Progress from InDesign scripting into backend work with Rails stack.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams in a fully remote US-based environment.
• Work on headless InDesign Server rendering at production scale.
• Grow backend skills (Ruby, Python, Java or similar) over time.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong, hands-on Adobe InDesign scripting experience — ExtendScript and/or UXP (.idjs).
• Genuine coding aptitude and motivation to grow into backend development (Ruby, Python, Java, or
• Familiar with Git and PR-based code review.
• Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot automation, not just build scripts.
• Ability to work independently with limited documentation on proprietary APIs/DOMs.
• Advanced to fluent English (C1–C2).
