📋 Description

• Underwrite commercial insurance policies, assess complex and technical risks, and develop solutions
• Analyze risk information, policy requirements, underwriting guidelines, contracts, pricing
• Apply critical thinking to evaluate risks, identify coverage solutions, and address underwriting
• Build and maintain relationships with broker partners through responsive communication and service.
• Collaborate with experienced underwriters to develop customized solutions across commercial risk
• Ensure decisions comply with regulatory requirements, internal guidelines, and processes.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of underwriting experience, with experience handling commercial or technical risks.
• Postsecondary education or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in property and casualty insurance is an asset.
• Practical knowledge of underwriting guidelines, insurance contracts, pricing programs
• Strong customer-service skills to build relationships with brokers and stakeholders.
• Analytical and critical-thinking abilities with a structured approach to risk assessment.
