Staff Mechanical Engineer, Sustaining - Advanced Energy

📋 Description

• Work within cross-functional teams to understand product performance, supply chain, and field
• Identify and develop solutions meeting customer and business needs within design controls.
• Analyze instruments and components, create DOEs, collect data, analyze, and report.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and suppliers on processes and fixtures.
• Drive anomaly and non-conformance closure; perform root cause investigations.
• Support CAPA and continuous improvement; assist audits as required.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 12 years experience with Bachelor’s or 8 years with Master’s; PhD with 5 years; or
• Strong mechanical design and analysis skills.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing (injection molding, MIM, stamping, extrusion, machining).
• Materials knowledge (metals and plastics) and properties.
• Design for Manufacturing & Assembly; design for reliability and scalability.
• 3D CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred).
