Software Test Engineer II (Python, Virtualization)

📋 Description

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Python-based automated tests for backend services
• Develop and maintain automated test suites in CI environments for timely quality feedback.
• Create test cases, test plans, procedures, and test reports.
• Execute test suites, investigate failures, reproduce defects, verify fixes, and diagnose issues
• Derive testing requirements during development and contribute to test strategies aligned with scope
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to evaluate problems and maintain disciplined agile

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on Python programming and test automation development, maintenance, and
• Strong OOP understanding and ability to work within an existing Python codebase.
• Experience with backend and API testing: REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, and DB validation.
• Experience with Python testing frameworks such as pytest, unittest, Behave; BDD/Behave a plus.
• Working knowledge of Git, PRs, code reviews, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitLab
• Familiarity with Linux fundamentals and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, routing
