Senior Software Engineer, Observability platform

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions for Grab's systems.
• Build tools and pipelines for monitoring, logging, and tracing.
• Define observability standards: SLIs, SLOs, monitors, alerts, dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed observability in dev lifecycle.
• Contribute to on-call rotations and post-incident analysis.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering; 1+ year in platform engineering/observability/SRE.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Hands-on with DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, or OpenTelemetry.
• Distributed systems, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Infra as code (Terraform); Ansible; Linux scripting.
• Strong debugging and scalable design for high traffic/data.
