📋 Description
- Own the process health and performance of production PVD modules via SPC, monitoring, and data
- Develop, optimize, and qualify thin-film deposition for superconducting resonators and related
- Analyze process, metrology, and electrical data to improve reproducibility and device performance.
- Lead root-cause investigations; implement corrective/preventive actions for
- Coordinate preventive maintenance with facilities and equipment engineering; support process
- Document development activities; write SOPs and train technicians on new processes.
🎯 Requirements
- Master's with 4–6 years or PhD with 2+ years in Materials Science, Physics, Applied Physics
- Hands-on experience with PVD equipment (sputtering, e-beam, or thermal evaporation) on 4" or 6"
- Strong knowledge of vacuum systems and thin-film deposition; ability to diagnose drift.
- Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and superconducting/semiconductor device physics.
- Experience with DOE, engineering data analysis; ability to use data to guide decisions.
- Strong written/verbal communication; capable of cross-functional collaboration and autonomous work
