Staff Security Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and tune detections across our security stack (Google Security Operations) to
• Lead incident response for complex, high-severity investigations from triage to remediation.
• Build and maintain security automation workflows (e.g., in Tines) to reduce manual toil.
• Own and improve SIEM/data pipeline health including log source onboarding and alert tuning.
• Develop cross-functional relationships to influence security initiatives and tooling adoption.
• Stay ahead of evolving threat landscape and translate into improvements to detection and playbooks.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response with end-to-end
• Advanced security principles and scripting skills for automation and REST API usage.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and security data pipelines (e.g., Google SecOps) including log
• Hands-on experience with EDR, identity, email, and network security tooling, capable of
• Ability to write clear technical specs and assess trade-offs between approaches.
• Ability to break complex projects into simple, repeatable systems and mentor others.
