Sr Backend Engineer, Billing

📋 Description

• Design and build the systems that define our plans, pricing, entitlements, and limits, and expose
• Decompose billing from our monolith into services that are correct, testable, and independently
• Own correctness end to end — usage metering, reconciliation, and the invoices and usage data
• Operate what you build: SLOs, alerting, on-call, and fixing root causes rather than repeating

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software-engineering experience, with significant work on complex backend
• Experience decomposing a monolith
• A track record on systems where correctness is non-negotiable, and the habits that come with it
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Rust, Python, etc.) and familiarity with cloud
