Sr Backend Engineer, Identity & Access Management

📋 Description

• Own authentication surface end to end — SSO, SCIM provisioning, login/session flows
• Implement MFA, API key/token auth, and provide enterprise IDP integrations
• Ensure security, availability, and on-call readiness
• Collaborate with Product Security on threat modeling and logging
• Set technical direction for identity at LaunchDarkly

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software-engineering experience
• Experience building/operating production auth/identity systems
• Strong ownership mindset: on-call, safe rollouts, backward-compatible changes
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Rust, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud infra; strong production ownership
