Staff Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and own high-impact data pipelines and platform primitives across ingestion
• Build and evolve the medallion architecture across Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Semantic layers.
• Ship semantic models in Snowflake and expose them to BI tools.
• Lead engineering execution across the modern data stack (ingestion via Fivetran, transformation via
• Optimize Snowflake performance, costs, and storage; codify patterns for the team to reuse.
• Build AI-ready data capabilities for LLM, RAG, and AI agent use cases.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in data/analytics/platform engineering with Staff or Principal level impact.
• Expert Snowflake proficiency: schema design, tuning, virtual warehouses, RBAC, cost governance.
• Hands-on data transformation experience with Coalesce (or dbt) and modern data stacks.
• Strong data modeling: dimensional modeling, normalization, ER design, semantic layers.
• Experience building/operating medallion architectures and data governance (PII, lineage, contracts).
• Data observability practices: freshness, anomaly detection, SLAs, incident response.
