Principal Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Own complete vertical slices of cross-team or platform-level work across multi-quarter migrations
• Set the technical bar for what right looks like in your domain; sharpen designs and shape patterns
• Identify and evaluate platform-level opportunities and drive decisions with evidence and tradeoffs
• Define SLOs and observability; share on-call ownership as baseline
• Lead rearchitecture of legacy/high-debt areas and migrate to deprecation
• Drive AI-assisted development; build tooling and define AI-native engineering standards

• Deep technical foundations across distributed systems, data infrastructure, and service architecture
• Ability to own complex systems from design through rollout and long-term operation
• Identify and drive non-obvious technical investments
• Demonstrable depth with agentic AI-assisted development; use of AI tools and workflows
• Mentoring Senior Engineers to higher levels of judgment and impact
