Job Description
📋 Description
- Develop and own tele-operated motion performance of robotic surgical instruments.
- Collaborate with clinical development and mechanical design teams to optimize motion fidelity.
- Analyze instrument behavior, modify and tune algorithms for fidelity.
- Implement features for new instruments, e.g., extending cutters or forming staples.
- Perform risk analysis and safety algorithm implementations for regulatory approvals (FDA).
- Collaborate with manufacturing to develop automated fixtures and define test specs.
🎯 Requirements
- PhD preferred or MS in robotics-related field; minimum 4 years experience.
- Strong C/C++ and Matlab; hardware/software/mechanism integration; Python a plus.
- Knowledge of servo control systems and serial-arm robot kinematics.
- Experience with CAD tools; good written and verbal communication; independent problem-solver.
