Robotic Algorithms and Controls Engineer (Systems Analyst)

📋 Description

• Develop and own tele-operated motion performance of robotic surgical instruments.
• Collaborate with clinical development and mechanical design teams to optimize motion fidelity.
• Analyze instrument behavior, modify and tune algorithms for fidelity.
• Implement features for new instruments, e.g., extending cutters or forming staples.
• Perform risk analysis and safety algorithm implementations for regulatory approvals (FDA).
• Collaborate with manufacturing to develop automated fixtures and define test specs.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD preferred or MS in robotics-related field; minimum 4 years experience.
• Strong C/C++ and Matlab; hardware/software/mechanism integration; Python a plus.
• Knowledge of servo control systems and serial-arm robot kinematics.
• Experience with CAD tools; good written and verbal communication; independent problem-solver.
