Senior Counsel, Patent Prosecution

📋 Description

• Support AbbVie's Patent Prosecution group in-house across Aesthetic, Eye Care, and other areas.
• Develop and implement IP strategies for products and candidates.
• Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications worldwide; manage outside counsel as needed.
• Challenge and defend patents in post-grant and other proceedings.
• Conduct prior art searches and due diligence to aid business development.

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school; bar admission; registration to practice before the USPTO.
• 5+ years of patent law experience at a law firm or life sciences company; US and foreign
• Technical background relevant to medical devices, aesthetics, or pharmaceuticals; degrees in
• Strong legal, analytical, communication, collaboration, and people skills; ability to manage
