Staff Aerostructures Design Engineer (R4955)

📋 Description

• Design and develop structural components for next-gen autonomous aircraft.
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, payload, and manufacturing teams.
• Support structural validation including coupon/subcomponent testing and system verification.
• Create design documentation, drawings, and analysis reports per aerospace standards.
• Partner with manufacturing and flight test teams to resolve build issues.
• Contribute to design reviews and drive ongoing technical depth in structural layout and tolerancing.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years in aircraft structural design or related aerospace structures.
• Experience releasing structural components in development/production environments.
• Knowledge of composite and metallic structures, fasteners, bonded joints, load paths.
• CAD tools: NX, CATIA, SolidWorks (or similar).
• Understanding GD&T, tolerance stackups, and DFMA.
