About the Client
We're helping a fast-growing Google Ads agency based in the Netherlands find a Social Media Strategist to lead the company's Instagram and TikTok strategy.
The agency helps eCommerce brands scale through high-performance advertising and has already established a strong reputation through educational content and YouTube. Their next stage of growth is building Instagram and TikTok into consistent lead generation channels that attract qualified inbound enquiries.
This is an opportunity to work directly with the founder and shape the strategy behind a rapidly growing personal brand and content engine.
The Role
We're looking for a Social Media Strategist with a proven track record of growing founders, coaches, consultants, agencies, brokers, or other service-based businesses through social media.
This is not a community management or content production role, nor is it suited to someone whose experience is primarily with large consumer brands.
Instead, we're looking for someone who understands how service businesses generate trust through content—using storytelling, education, lead magnets, and strategic content pillars to turn attention into qualified leads.
You'll own the Instagram and TikTok strategy while working closely with the founder, who records the videos, and a VA who handles editing and publishing.
Role Details
Commitment: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Working Hours: CET business hours (Netherlands)
Location: Fully Remote
Engagement: Independent Contractor
Monthly Rate: USD $1,600–1,920/month (depending on experience)
What You'll Do
Social Media Strategy
- Own the end-to-end Instagram and TikTok strategy.
- Build social media into a predictable lead generation channel rather than simply growing followers.
- Develop long-term content strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
- Research competitors, founders, coaches, agencies, and creators to identify winning content frameworks.
- Recommend new content formats, lead magnets, campaigns, and growth experiments.
Content Strategy & Copywriting
- Develop content pillars that position the founder as an authority.
- Create compelling hooks, storytelling frameworks, captions, and carousel concepts.
- Plan educational content that nurtures prospects through the buyer journey.
- Develop lead magnet ideas and social campaigns that generate enquiries.
- Ensure all messaging feels authentic, educational, and human.
Content Direction
- Guide the founder on:
- Topics to cover
- Stories to tell
- Hooks to test
- Educational concepts to explain
- Trends worth leveraging
- Base recommendations on research, platform insights, and audience behaviour.
Content Quality & Operations
- Review and approve content before publication.
- Provide creative direction to the VA responsible for editing and scheduling.
- Maintain consistently high content quality.
- Ensure publishing remains consistent and aligned with the overall strategy.
Research & Continuous Improvement
- Continuously research:

- Translate insights into practical weekly action plans and content recommendations.
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
- Proven experience developing social media strategies for service-based businesses (at least 3 years).
- Demonstrated experience working with founders, coaches, consultants, agencies, brokers, or personal brands.
- Strong Instagram and TikTok expertise.
- Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills.
- Experience creating content that generates qualified business leads—not just engagement.
- Strong understanding of lead magnets, content funnels, and educational marketing.
- Experience planning content pillars and long-term content strategies.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Highly proactive, strategic, and commercially minded.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience within digital marketing or performance marketing agencies.
- Familiarity with Google Ads or lead generation businesses.
- Experience using Claude, ChatGPT, Canva, Metricool, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Understanding of broader content marketing and marketing funnels.
Portfolio Requirements
As part of your application, we'd love to see at least one detailed case study demonstrating your work with a founder-led or service-based business.
