Job Description
📋 Description
- Lead architecture, design, and integration of custom robotic actuator gearing.
- Define actuator requirements and system-level trade studies (torque, bandwidth, thermal, cost).
- Design precision electromechanical assemblies with tight tolerances and reliable interfaces.
- Drive actuator integration with controls, firmware, electrical, and robotics software teams.
- Develop architectures with integrated sensing/encoder strategies and validation plans.
- Build and test prototypes; develop test methodologies for performance and durability.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related.
- 5+ years designing gears, robotic actuators, or precision hardware.
- Experience with transmission elements for high-performance systems.
- Strong knowledge of motors, encoders, thermal management, and precision integration.
- Familiarity with encoder sensing architectures and calibration.
- CAD/PLM proficiency (NX, Teamcenter or equivalents).
