Manager, Project Accounting

📋 Description Lead project accounting across RES’s portfolio of environmental restoration, mitigation Ensure projects are set up correctly in the system with accurate contract values, budgets, billing Review project performance with PMs and leaders: revenue, gross profit, margins, estimates to Oversee billing, collections, work-in-progress, unbilled and deferred revenue, reserves, and Own month-end close activities: revenue/cost accruals, percent-of-completion updates Coach and develop project accounting staff; strengthen processes, tools, systems, and controls 🎯 Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field Seven+ years of progressive accounting/project accounting experience in a project-based or complex 2+ years of experience leading or developing accounting professionals Strong knowledge of project accounting, GAAP, revenue recognition, WIP, forecasting, billing, and Ability to analyze project performance, identify risks, and partner with project managers and Advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP, project accounting, or financial reporting systems
