📋 Description The Senior Safety Methods Engineer will develop, improve, and qualify engineering methods used for Develop system-level thermal-hydraulic analysis methods, including modeling strategies and closure Perform steady-state and transient system-level analyses to evaluate model behavior and performance Support method qualification activities, including numerical verification, applicability Develop and integrate closure models and empirical correlations related to heat transfer, pressure 🎯 Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. 3+ years of experience in system-level thermal-hydraulic modeling and method development for Experience developing or improving engineering analysis methods, including numerical approaches Experience with thermal-hydraulic analysis tools such as RELAP5-3D, GOTHIC, SAS, or equivalent. Strong understanding of thermal-fluid behavior and reactor system phenomena for advanced designs. Experience conducting sensitivity analyses and identifying modeling gaps to drive improvements. 🎁 Benefits Competitive hourly compensation range of approximately $37–$74 per hour.
