📋 Description Steer architecture and technical direction of imaging systems from concept through qualification. Shape end-to-end imaging system integration, linking optical design to focal plane/detector assemblies. Mentor engineers daily with optical judgement and system-level thinking. Collaborate across manufacturing, assembly, alignment, and qualification to mature instrument generations. 🎯 Requirements Extensive experience in imaging optics across the full product lifecycle. Optical system design knowledge, incl. focal plane and detector assemblies. Experience as imaging systems architect with trade-off aware architectures. Ability to assess designs and own system-level trade-offs. Strong mentoring skills, daily guidance to engineers.
