Mechanical Drafter

📋 Description Create 2D/3D drawings for UL 891/508A/67 enclosures, panel layouts. Prepare fabrication drawings, BOMs, cut sheets, and revision histories per UL. Collaborate with engineers on clearances, wire space, ventilation, accessibility. Provide drafting support to fabrication/assembly; respond to RFIs and update drawings. Ensure designs meet UL 891/508A/67 and enclosure requirements; assist UL audits. Perform self-checks and peer reviews for accuracy and fabrication readiness. 🎯 Requirements 3+ years of mechanical drafting/design with electrical enclosures, switchboards, or control panels. Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting or Mechanical Design preferred. Strong proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor. Experience producing fabrication-ready drawings for sheet metal enclosures, doors, frames, subpanels. Understanding enclosure considerations: spacing, wire-bending, ventilation, thermal management, accessibility.
