📋 Description Design shaft couplings, torque-transfer interfaces, and rotary joints for engine-generator integration. Develop gearbox concepts to match engine and generator RPM/torque. Perform structural, fatigue, modal, and dynamic FEA for rotating machinery. Define tolerances, alignment strategy, bearings, lubrication paths, and balancing. Support prototype fabrication, build test rigs, and hardware validation. Collaborate with engine, generator, motor, and structural teams for system integration. 🎯 Requirements 3+ years in mechanical transmission, drivetrain, or rotating machinery design. Strong understanding of gear trains, torsional dynamics, vibration, fatigue, and high-speed rotation. Proficiency in ANSYS for structural, modal, fatigue, and thermal FEA. Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, shaft machining, and DFM. Experience integrating couplings or gearboxes with engines, motors, or generators.
