Senior Security Engineer - Detection & Response

📋 Description Lead incident response coordination and on-call escalation for Canva's cloud infra Investigate and triage security alerts; coordinate containment and recovery Lead post-incident reviews; drive improved detections and playbooks Build and automate response workflows and playbooks to reduce analyst toil Partner with CTI, App Security, and Red Team on threat intel to detections Develop and improve security tooling across case management, SOAR, SIEM, and forensics 🎯 Requirements Experience in incident response, DFIR, or security operations coordinating events Experience with enterprise security platforms (SIEM, EDR, SOAR) Investigative mindset; solve ambiguous security problems; risk-based decisions Working knowledge of at least one cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure) and cloud attacks Knowledge of IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and DevOps practices Proficient in scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, etc.) 🎁 Benefits Equity packages Inclusive parental leave policy for parents & carers Annual Vibe & Thrive allowance for wellbeing and setup Flexible leave options
