📋 Description Ownership of health, uptime and performance of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases Partner with internal customers to understand challenges and plan improvements Develop automation for routine tasks using Python, Bash, or similar scripting Engineer, deploy, maintain, and own all aspects of database monitoring Provide comprehensive and fully vetted backup restore solutions Engineer, implement, and routinely test disaster recovery (DR) strategies 🎯 Requirements BS in CS/IS/Engineering + 8+ yrs IT; or 5+ yrs in DB reliability/DevOps in lieu of degree 5+ yrs optimizing SQL queries and data replication 5+ yrs developing monitoring tools and tuning databases Expertise in at least two DB technologies (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) Experience with highly available solutions and clustered environments Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed 🎁 Benefits Long-term incentives including stock or cash Employee Stock Purchase Plan Medical, vision, and dental coverage 401(k) retirement plan Short and long-term disability and life insurance Paid parental leave and paid time off (vacation and holidays)
