📋 Description Lead initiatives to improve Elasticsearch search relevance and speed. Design and implement new search features; fix bugs. Contribute to vector search capabilities and Lucene integration. Work with a globally distributed team via email, GitHub, Zoom, and Slack. Own end-to-end projects, including algorithm/data-structure work when needed. Collaborate cross-functionally to drive architectural decisions. 🎯 Requirements Proficient in idiomatic modern Java and concurrency. Deep experience with Elasticsearch, Lucene, and search relevance. Familiar with vector search algorithms (HNSW, IVF) and indexing. Worked with storage tech: Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra. Strong data structures knowledge; ability to invent new algorithms. Autonomous, able to own features from design to delivery.
