Software Engineer II - Database Engineering

📋 Description Scale and maintain RDBMS (Postgres/MySQL/Aurora) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra). Build and maintain automation tooling (IaC) to reduce toil and streamline deployments. Manage backups, restores, and high-availability configurations. Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks for 24/7 reliability. Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams on DB schema changes. Ensure data integrity and replication monitoring per security standards. 🎯 Requirements 5+ years of experience managing or supporting cloud-based database systems (AWS/GCP). Core Database Knowledge: PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra). Infrastructure as Code (Basic): Terraform or Ansible. Scripting: Python or Bash for automating routine tasks. Operational Fundamentals: Backups, replication, and high-availability concepts. SQL Proficiency: Solid SQL skills to troubleshoot and tune queries.
