📋 Description Partner with Sales and Customer Engineering to solve database problems. Lead technical discovery aligning objectives with PlanetScale offerings. Design and execute proof-of-value timelines with business outcomes. Plan migrations to PostgreSQL and Vitess; guide customer migrations. Assess workloads; recommend architecture, sizing, and optimization. Build tools and automation to speed migrations and onboarding. 🎯 Requirements 5+ years hands-on MySQL or PostgreSQL production experience (ops, performance, troubleshooting). 5+ years supporting customers with MySQL or PostgreSQL workloads Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI Proven success in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, TAM) Strong understanding of database migration strategies and tooling Experience evaluating database solutions incl. architecture reviews, capacity planning, performance analysis 🎁 Benefits Remote-friendly culture with distributed teams worldwide.
