The Remote 100

A finite place to start. 100 technology companies that hire remotely, ordered by how many roles each has open right now across every board we track — rather than a search box and 20,000 companies.

How the list is built

  • Known technology employers with a company page in our catalogue.
  • Staffing, outsourcing and freelance marketplaces are excluded — their listings measure agency volume, not roles at the company.
  • Companies we could not confidently tell apart from a similarly named business are excluded.
  • Ordered by open remote roles across the sources we track, counted live on each page load.

Membership last reviewed August 2026. Nothing here is sponsored or paid for.

Open-role counts are unavailable at the moment. The list below is still current — open a company to see what it is hiring for.

About The Remote 100

How are these 100 companies chosen?

Candidates are drawn from known technology employers with a company page in our catalogue, then filtered by hand. Staffing, outsourcing and freelance marketplaces are removed, because their listing volume reflects agency throughput rather than roles at the company. Companies we could not confidently distinguish from a similarly named business are also removed.

How often does the list change?

Membership is reviewed periodically and was last reviewed in August 2026. The open-role counts and the ordering are not fixed — they are read from active listings each time the page is rebuilt, so a company that stops hiring drops down the list on its own.

Does a place on this list mean a company is remote-first?

No. It means the company has a presence in our catalogue and is hiring remotely, or has recently. Remote-first, remote-friendly and hybrid employers all appear here. Check the company page and the role itself for the actual remote policy and any geographic restriction.

Why does a company show no open roles?

Because it has no remote listings on the sources we track at this moment. It stays on the list as a watchlist entry rather than disappearing, so you can check back or set up an alert instead of losing track of it.

Can a company pay to appear here?

No. Nothing on this list is sold, sponsored, or affiliate-linked, and no company was consulted about its inclusion.
