📋 Description
- Serve as the on-air host for pregame, intermission, and postgame coverage on the Washington
- Host broadcasts live from Capital One Arena for home games and from the network studio for road
- Cover team practices, media availabilities, community events, and other team activities throughout
- Develop, research, and produce content for radio broadcasts, podcasts, digital channels, and social
- Conduct interviews with players, coaches, executives, and hockey operations staff.
- Cultivate relationships with local and national hockey media, league personnel, players, and team
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Broadcasting, Sports Media, or a related field
- 5+ years of broadcast, sports media, or on-air hosting experience.
- Solid understanding of professional hockey experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience hosting live broadcasts, interviews, and long-form content.
- Experience producing podcast, radio, or digital audio content.
- Strong storytelling, interviewing, and written communication skills.
