📋 Description
- Prepare water and soil samples for analysis by Purge and Trap Gas Chromatography
- Evaluate chromatography for qualitative and quantitative criteria
- Monitor and manage backlog workload to meet client program requirements
- Upload and peer review data using the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
- Perform basic instrument maintenance and repair, including column replacement and ion source
- Prepare standards and reagents for sample analysis
🎯 Requirements
- 1+ years operating a GC in an academic or production laboratory setting
- BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for a degree
- Previous production oriented work experience a plus (awareness and ability to efficiently meet
- Effective time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to perform and evaluate basic mathematical calculations and formulas
- Ability to work independently following written and verbal instructions
