RoleSummary
The Techno-Functional Subject Matter Expert(SME) will serve as a critical bridge between businessstakeholders and technical teams. This role requires deep functional knowledgeof Model N Revenue Management solutions combined with strong technicalunderstanding to support implementation, configuration, integration,optimization, and ongoing support for clients powered by Flex delivery models.
The SME will lead solution design, guide bestpractices, resolve complex issues, and ensure successful delivery aligned withbusiness objectives.
KeyResponsibilities
Functional Responsibilities
- Act as the Model N functional expert across modules such as:
oRevenue Management
oPricing & Contract Management
oGovernment Pricing (Medicaid, Medicare, 340B,AMP, Best Price)
oChargebacks, Rebates, and Incentives
- Gather, analyze, and document businessrequirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into functionalspecifications and system configurations.
- Configure Model N applications to meetclient-specific requirements.
- Lead functional design workshops, userstory creation, and solution walkthroughs.
- Support UAT planning, execution, and defecttriage.
- Provide post-go-live functional support andoptimization recommendations.
Technical Responsibilities
·Collaborate with technical teams on:
oIntegrations (inbound/outbound interfaces)
oData migration and validation
oSystem enhancements and customizations
- Understand Model N data models, workflows, andconfiguration frameworks.
- Support troubleshooting of complex functionaland technical issues.
- Review and validate technical design documentsto ensure alignment with functional intent.
- Work with APIs, batch jobs, and middlewareintegrations where applicable.
Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary SME point of contact forclients and internal teams.
- Mentor junior consultants and analysts on ModelN functionality.
- Ensure adherence to delivery standards,timelines, and quality benchmarks.
- Participate in release management, regressiontesting, and change impact analysis.
- Coordinate with Flex delivery leads to supportscalable and efficient project execution.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ComputerScience, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Model N or LifeSciences domain are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Flex or managed servicesdelivery models.
- Exposure to regulatory compliance and auditsupport in Life Sciences.
- Ability to work across multiple projects andpriorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Functional Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with Model NRevenue Management solutions.
- Solid understanding of Life Sciences /Pharmaceutical business processes.
- Experience with government pricing, rebates,chargebacks, and compliance.
Technical Skills
·Working knowledge of:
oSQL for data analysis and validation
oData integrations and ETL concepts
oAPIs and file-based interfaces
- Ability to read and interpret technical designand integration documents.
- Experience working in cloud-based enterpriseapplications.
Professional Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in Agile and Waterfall deliverymodels.
- Experience working in global delivery orFlex-based engagement models.
ExperienceRequirements
•
8–12+ years of overall IT/Enterpriseapplication experience.
•
5+ years of hands-on experience withModel N implementations or support.
- Prior experience as a Techno-Functional Leador SME preferred.
- Experience in client-facing consulting roles ishighly desirable.
