Onsite Laboratory Technician

📋 Description

• Sample reception, sample identification, sample preparation (sorting, drying, crushing
• Ensure samples are logged into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) accurately and in a
• Working knowledge of LIMS.
• Ensure samples are catalogued and stored in an efficient and easily retrievable manner.
• Assists in locating and retrieving of samples and responsible for sample disposal or returning
• Calibration and set up of laboratory equipment prior to analysis.

🎯 Requirements

• A post secondary education (degree and/or diploma) in a Science related program (Chemistry
• Strong analytical and mechanical skills.
• Good hand/eye coordination.
• Able to work in a physically demanding work environment.
• A willingness to learn new tests, instrumentation and procedures.
• Must be comfortable with numerals in order to monitor data on a computer screen.
