World Vision is hiring an Event Manager to support our Transformational Engagement Division. At a Glance Role: Event Manager Reports to: Director, Donor Conferences and Events Location: Remote Required Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). In addition to education or education equivalent, requires 4 years of work experience including successful large-scale event planning/management. Travel: Approximately 75% of the time domestic travel is required. Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A for any employer. Estimated hiring range: $63,600 – $85,900 The Job The Event Manager coordinates the planning process and participates in the design, strategy, and execution of meetings and special events, generally focused on donor acquisition and fund-raising. Responsible to ensure all the following are completed effectively: facility selection, contract negotiations, event registration, food and beverage selection, audio visual service, transportation and the like. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign. Responsibilities will include
- Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
- Manage the design, strategy, and execution special events and meetings, to include event planning and coordinating logistics.
- Engage with all appropriate WVUS staff members and leaders to set event strategy and ensure its effective implementation.
- As needed and in partnership with appropriate WVUS departments, oversee contract negotiations with vendors.
- Serve as liaison between contractors, organizers, and WVUS leadership regarding all facets of the event.
- Ensure proper execution of event preparation and production details.
- May have responsibility for event marketing.
- Report on event results, analyze effectiveness and recommend modifications to future event strategy as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

- Customer-Focused Solution Design: Develops solutions in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the customers’ needs and desire for a timely, cost-effective and value-added response.

Salary & Benefits WVUS Pay Grade Level: 222 Estimated hiring range is: $63,600 – $85,900 The posted hiring salary range reflects pay for U.S. locations and is determined using market data and internal compensation guidelines.
